A mobile cellar with terrace and a foodtruck are also present, sometimes accompanied by a small music group. To reduce the use of plastic bags, remember to bring your own shopping baskets, bags, containers, tote bags and so on. * Summer market every morning – Place Simone Veil – 17550 Dolus-d’Oléron
The Château-d’Oléron covered market
With a panoramic view, between two merchants, of the walls of the castle that protected the inhabitants in Vauban’s time, the two markets of Château d’Oléron welcome you every day in July and August. Shellfish, fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, bread, wine, pineau and other local specialties await you. Night markets are held from July to September, on Tuesdays in the harbor and Fridays in the town center. * Covered summer market every morning – Place de la République – Night market every Tuesday at the port and Friday in the town center – 17480 Le Château-d’OléronPhoto: Farmers’ market at Port des Salines, Grand-Village (Credit: Oléron Mag)
